Tawa Fried Prawns

Tawa Prawns Fry is a dish for the beginners, which no one can go wrong with. Humble yet enticing and tempting, it is indeed the most sought-after seafood appetiser.

List of Ingredients

Medium or king size prawns
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1 lemon juices
salt to taste
coriander leaves


Marinate the prawns with all the listed ingredients (except for oil and coriander leaves). Keep it for 20 minutes. Heat the oil in the pan and shallow fry the prawns. The prawns curl up while cooking, make sure you flip each prawn to fry it from both the sides.
Tip: Maximum frying time is 5-7 minutes (depending on the size of the prawns). Cooking more than this will turn the prawns rubbery, and it will lose its taste and juiciness.
Garnish it with coriander leaves and relish this all-time loved starter with family and friends.
